Kolomyia is a magic travel destination [09 Mar 2011|10:12pm]

sergeykemskiy
Kolomyia is a magical corner of the natural Carpathian landscape. It is also an important spiritual, cultural, artistic and economic center of the region with a rich and glorious history, which attracts scholars and artists from all over Ukraine and abroad. Tourists from all over the world hurry to see unique collections in museums, visit mountain ski resorts and numerous vacation spots. Kolomyia is located in the southeastern part of the Ivano-Frankivsk region, halfway between Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi, just between mountain ski resorts. Due to its favorable location, the city received from tourists very aptly title of "Gateway to the Carpathians".

A great place for skiing! Bukovel! [28 Dec 2010|12:55am]

sergeykemskiy
Hi all!
Let me tell you about  Bukovel. It is a place which  ideally combines excellent facilities for sport and fun hanging out with the peace and quiet. Those who have ever visited mountains of Bukovel, in this corner of the fabulous snow in the winter, which wandered through the first spring thawed, who breathed with this crystal clear air, return Bukovel again and again. Recreation in Bukovel is great at any season, but first of all, Bukovel is the ski resort, so the best time to come to Bukovel is winter. Has anyone here heard snowboarder Trevor "Trouble" Andrew's music before? I gotta admit that i'm really feeling it.

you can download a song of his for free on his website and hear more on his myspace. i've been following him on twitter too, nice.

I know it's off season (or rafting season if you're my family members), but are there any Summit County locals here?

Hey guys! I am currently living in upstate NY, although I will be moving to Denver fairly soon.

I'm currently enjoying the $10 half day lift tickets here in NY, and was wondering where some cheap-ish hills might be found within an hour or two of Denver.

Also, where are some good places for other winter sports such as snowshoeing, tubing, etc?

Thanks!

hey, i'm new to this community!
i actually live in florida, tampa to be specific, but i've been skiing in colorado for nearly 10 years. i love it!

i have a question. for the past 10 years, we've been going to the same 3 places: steamboat springs (x4), copper mountain (x2), and breckenridge (x2). what's a good place to go that has a lot of good blue/black trails?

It looks like I'll be flying over to Vail from the UK to join a pal for a week in March.

Can anyone recommend or suggest a cheap motel that doesn't involve rats (ie. clean and comfortable) outside of Vail so I can afford the flight and lifts?

Thanks

Hello, fellow skiers!!
Happy Thanksgiving to all!

We’re flying to Colorado, DEN, tomorrow, Thursday, early morning.
We’re staying in Vail in hopes for new snow on Friday.

We’re also considering driving to Keystone as they have night skiing open or so their web site says.

I would like to get your recommendations/comments on any other resorts we should check out this time of year (not more than 1 hr drive from Vail) and any tips for off the mountains activities (restaurants, etc.) are greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

a.

winter park [10 Nov 2006|10:59pm]

existentialstar
I've only lived in Colorado since August, so I'm not familiar with any of the ski parks/lodging yet really. I have a few friends coming to visit at the beginning of January and they want to go to Winter Park, and I was wondering if anyone had any lodging recommendations. There will be four of us, and we wanted to rent a condo/townhome if possible, but if the prices are astronomical a regular room is fine. Hell I'd be fine with a Motel 6 but I think they want something a little about that. I've found a lot of different places online, but I was hoping for some personal recommendations- any lesser known places that are really cool, or whatever. Thanks in advance!

burton supreme snowboard boots [21 Feb 2006|05:13pm]

jmchung
Hey guys I bought these, Burton Supreme size 7 boots for $320, I've only worn them once however, they're a size too small. They're perfectly fine, and I can't return or exchange them so I'm selling them. I don't want to lose too much money over so like since I'm just going to turn around and buy another pair. So I'm willing to sell them for around $215 (thats including shipping to the U.S.).

For information about them: http://www.burton.com/gear/products.asp?productID=66
